Discuss Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware here.

Is Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware an effective product?

Do they need improvement? What improvements should they make?

Is their detection effective enough?

Is their prevention effective enough?

IP protection is not that good. Anyone agree?

A lot of people have been mad at the IP protection. Oh well. I guess a whitelist is in the works, according to MysteryFCM, malware researcher.

Malwarebytes is an awesome tool, especially for removing rouges. But recently as of May this year, I can't help but noticed that more and more of these rogues easily bypass Malwarebytes to either be undetectable or unable to be removed by MBAM.

I wouldn't say it's that good as an anti-spyware software because of it's young and small database. I'd prefer to call it more as a Malware removal tool.

And by the way, the IP protection isn't really that good yet. Just connecting to a certain legit website may bring that false positive IP protection pop-up.

If you want to see the database of the IPs that are used, see http://www.hosts-file.net

Also, their rogue team at Malwarebytes has tapered off. Not as many are researching. Don't know why. Razz
