Hello,

my computer is infected with Backdoor.Win32.Hupigon...I deleted corrupted files, then I needed to delete registry entries, yet I cannot run the regedit.exe file. When I double-click on the file (any exe file for that matter), the "Open with" dialog box appears. I assume this same virus is disabling all files so I can't run them, so what can I do about this?? • Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
  
• Double-click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
  
• By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
  
• Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialog.
  
• Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
  
• Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
  
• At the final dialog box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
  
• Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button.
  
• Once the scan has completed it will open in Notepad.
  
• Copy & Paste the entire log into your next reply.

DO NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless.

Once you have posted a log, someone will be along to help
