^^ Look familiar? If so, you know what it feels like to see this annoyance. (Windows Server)
It is coined as a term "falls off" the network. This is more of an issue in the WinNT stack than anything. It does not really fall off the network, but this is rather a visual bug/annoyance. There is an edit for your server.
Two ways: Command Prompt or Direct Registry edit.
1. Command Prompt - Open Command Prompt and enter the following command: net config server /autodisconnect:-1
2. Windows Registry edit - Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters
Right-click and Modify the autodisconnect key and enter/replace with the following value: 4294967295
And that is it.
A simple edit and it is back to normal.
