I found this new game, but i need about 12 gigs of memory available. My computer is a laptop, it has about 62 gigs open with nothing on it, but right now it only has 7 gigs available. I need to remove some ~5-8 gigs of data, but i dont know what to erase and what not to. Any help on this would be appreciated. (this is on my C drive).

Remove temporary files first:

Please download TFC by OldTimer to your desktop
  • Please double-click TFC.exe to run it. (Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator).
  • It will close all programs when run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin.
  • Click the Start
button to begin the process. Depending on how often you clean temp
files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute
or two. Let it run uninterrupted to completion.
  • Once it's finished it should reboot your machine. If it does not, please manually reboot the machine yourself to ensure a complete clean.

Generate an uninstall list:

Please download Uninstall List Generator by GravityGripp, and save it to your Desktop.
  • Right-click on the Zip file and click Extract All...
  • Follow the prompts and save to your Desktop. Continually clicking next, until Finish.
  • Open the folder and double-click on uninstallListGenerator.exe.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you in that same folder. Please post it in your next reply.

Also have a look through your documents (IE Music, Pictures, Videos)

Is there anything there that you don't want any more?

Can any of it be backed up or stored on USB Drives or CD/DVD's?

Uninstall any programs you no longer use, this may only free up a bit of space but it all counts.
