I discovered this site sort of through Google. I saw DragonMasterJay helped someone with their problem which I think is a bit identical to my own. (Hopefully this is in the right section)

Lately I've been having a problem where I'll be surfing the net and I'll get something like:

*Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at www.youtube.com.

I can try refreshing a few times and it might work or it'll just not load at all. It happens to any sites like Google and such. Sometimes the page might even load distorted or not all the way. I've tried running a KasperSky scan and it never found anything and I've ran CCleaner and I'm still having issues, clueless what to do at this point. I'd reinstall my Windows Vista but I don't have the discs.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Please download the latest version of Kaspersky GetSystemInfo (GSI) from Kaspersky and save it to your Desktop.
Please close all other applications running on your system.

Please double click GetSystemInfo.exe to open it.

Click the Settings button.

Set it to Maximum

IMPORTANT! Then please click Customize - choose Driver / Ports tab and uncheck Scan Ports.

Click Create Report to run it.

It will create a zip folder called GetSystemInfo_XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.zip on your Desktop. Please upload the folder to Kaspersky GSI Parser and click the Submit button.

Please copy and paste the url of the GSI Parser report (not the log) in your next reply.

Having a horrible time trying to load web pages. GSI Parser site wouldn't load at all with IE/Firefox/Chrome so I restarted. Working now but died halfway through.. Refreshed but the page loaded broken. Computer just froze for like 5 minutes just while typing this as well. I hope this is the report page that you meant.

I recommend to contact your Internet Service Provider, because there are settings that are not normal on your network connection. Changing them can possibly cause issues that are unknown. By contacting your Internet Service Provider, they can help change the settings to align to your subscription.

==

Here are the settings found on your connection:

Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
Name: Wireless Network Connection Adapter Type: Ethernet 802.3
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation DHCP enabled: True
IP address: 192.168.0.11 Default IP gateway: 192.168.0.1
DHCP server: 192.168.0.1 IP subnet: 255.255.255.0||64
DNS server search order:
192.168.0.1
DNS hostname: Jikarui
DNS domain: chn.comcast.net DND enabled for WINS resolution: False

==

The bolded item above is why I cannot continue in helping you, because that appears to be set by your ISP.

If you have no luck with your ISP, don't hesitate to come back and we'll have a deeper look into the issue.

Try doing the following, if you want me to take an alternate look:

Please download RenewMyDNS by DragonMaster Jay.
  • Save it to your Desktop.
  • Right-click on the file and select Extract All...
  • Choose a location to save extracted files and keep pressing Next until Finish.
  • Double-click RenewMyDNS folder, then double-click RenewMyDNS.bat to start the program.
  • Follow the prompts, and when finished it will launch a log.
  • Post that log in your next reply.
  • After posting the log, delete the folder RenewMyDNS.
