When I open IE, it begins to load my home page, I see it for just a second, but then it switches and loads a www.Ric2.com. When I close Ric2.com, it begins to open someting like "yieldmanager.com". This address just flashes on the address bar, then two junck pages open, selling screensavers and offering a survey.

Before your help, the browser would open first to Searchmagnified.com. That no longer happens.

These infections get trickier daily.

Download OTL.exe by OldTimer to your Desktop.

• Close all windows and double click OTL.exe.
  
• Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted.
  
• It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  
• You may need to use two posts to get it all.
  

Okay, this is wierd.

We were away for a while, so I shut the computer down nad have been using the laptop only.

I just started the "infected" computer, and the problem seems to be gone.
