I am being sent fake emails everyday claiming to be from UPS, Facebook, flickr etc. I tried to open the first one, because it said it was from UPS and I was actually expecting a delivery from them, but my security stopped it from opening, Online Armour/Avast. I now simply delete anything which looks dodgy and/or has an attachment but what I would like to know is., is there anywhere or anyone to whom I can report these emails? And maybe get something done about them? They are really starting to annoy me!!
I am using Firefox and Yahoo mail.

If they appear in your spam box, they are already reported. If they appear in your inbox, then select them, then click the spam button. Yahoo! does its own services to make sure spammers stop what they are doing.

Sometimes the spam emails you receive can be from spam bots, which are controlled bots that autonomously send spam to collected email addresses.

My advice is, keep your email a secret. Never give it out to something you do not trust, or that anyone untrustworthy can see. Only share it with people you trust. It would not surprise me if your email got harvested in an email list. Just ignore the emails and know the senders before attempting to open them.

OK, thanks again! You've put my mind at ease now that I know Yahoo should be onto them. I pretty much do everything that you have suggested already, but I'll be extra careful about who see's my email address' from now on!
