Apparently the too generous and outward way to social network, is not to let too much privacy info about users to be shown on the streams.

In the South by Southwest Interactive conference in Austin, Texas, a Google Product Manager said that there was a misstep by Google to come out with Buzz. Keynote speaker Danah Boyd, a social media researcher with Microsoft, said "There’s a big difference between publicly available data and publicized data. I worry about this publication process, and who will be caught in the crossfire."

Apparently Google is not worried about this, and will find ways to improve privacy, unlike its counterpart Facebook, who has revised their privacy policy too many times in the past two years.

Social Networking is starting to grow up, as being the biggest privacy risk on the Internet, next to malware. Privacy experts make opinions about available privacy features on different social networks, and will indeed be researching each of them, trying to find flaws.
