SpeedFan is a quick and easy way to check the temperature of components inside your computer.

Another good alternative is Speccy. Lists your hardware, cpu usage and ram usage. Very nice tool by Piriform. http://www.piriform.com

Also note the image is a little outdated. No longer beta.

Yep, thanks. I had thought of it but for some reason it left my mind again.

I actually prefer Speccy but for new users SpeedFan might be easier. Speccy tends to freeze up my system when loading the information.

You're welcome. I prefer Speccy too. But I like all Piriform's tools. Wink

I prefer CoreTemp, because it has a nice tray icon of your current CPU temprature:

Just came across this one, called Hardware Monitor, here: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

It's a very simple tool, but a more advanced system information tool can be found on the same site, called PC Wizard. http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/pc-wizard.html

Both can be downloaded as standalone programs - they don't have to be installed.
