Verizon Wireless won't offer any models running Microsoft's new mobile operating system when it launches late this year, but will probably launch its first device based on Windows Phone 7 at some point in 2011.
It's possible to regard Verizon's delay releasing a device running this new OS as a problem for Microsoft, but it could be worse. There were unconfirmed reports that there was bad blood between these two companies in the wake of the Microsoft Kin fiasco, and as a result Verizon wouldn't be offering any Windows Phone 7 models at all.
