I uninstalled a game that my daughter downloaded, called "Fish Tycoon". I must have uninstalled it incorrectly because I get this message every few minutes or so, "Fatal Error ! Cannot locate EXE path in the registry. Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\FishTycoon".

I ran an MBAM full scan to be sure there was nothing else, and it found nothing.

Try to reinstall the program and see if that helps. It probably got messed up on uninstall.

Hello have you tried using regedit and removing this key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\FishTycoon the entire "FishTycoon" registry folder? how long ago was this installed you could system restore to then if recent.

No, I haven't tried that. I removed what I thought were the "remnants" of this game (folders), but I guess I missed something. I'll try it and let you know what happens. Also, it's been since the day I posted the first message (about 3 wks).

I used "REGEDIT" to try to locate the file. I could not find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\FishTycoon at all. I am still getting the message every few minutes.

Ok, I reinstalled Fish Tycoon. The pop up message that I described stopped. However, every so often, a new pop up would come up that would ask me to buy the full version of the game. I then removed the program again by going to Control Panel, then removing from there. I again started getting the message about the fatal error.
