i cannot install ERUNT or TFC or mss.exe (says not valid win32 applications).

I had Malwarebytes installed before I had the problem. I ran it; results came out clean. Log pasted below.

problem started a couple days ago with IE popups, even though i rarely use IE (i mostly use Firefox and occasionally Chrome). started with "you've won a walmart giftcard!" and non-malicious junk like "advance your education" and stuff.. then pages started redirecting. THEN, certain anti-virus searches or page requests would redirect to "attack pages" identified and blocked by Firefox.

MS Security Essentials found a couple of Trojans and was able to remove (or so it says), but today they continued to proliferate.

I can't install anything, even in safe mode. Found a bunch of weird/virus-y looking items in MSCONFIG startup tab, which i disabled. No popups or redirects so far since then, but still cannot install anything, including Ad-Aware or HijackThis or Avant. F-Secure online scan didn't run, and BitDefender found nothing.

Help is appreciated!!

hi, thanks for responding... OTL downloads but i can't install or load it. everything i download and try to open either says "not a valid win32 application" or "windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions."

Could you please boot into Safe Mode by rebooting and tapping F8 until it gives you a prompt to choose Safe Mode, then please choose it.

Once there try to run OTL.

I couldn't run any of the OTL apps, even in Safe Mode. I tried to do a master re-install of Windows, and that didn't work either.. when the computer restarted and went into Windows Setup, it blue-screened and said there was a problem and Windows was shut down to prevent damage to the computer. Help!
