My problem sounds exactly the same as this guy's:

http://www.helpmyos.com/t2458-guess-what-system-tools-2011

I've had it with this thing. haven't used it for months. I've even gone to safe mode to try and fix it but every time I click MBAM nothing happens. Even renaming it didn't seem to work. I (think) I tried all the preliminary stuff but there's still a problem with the pc. Also, this may be related, but whenever I get into "safe mode with networking" and stay there for a while with internet my pc would shut off. When I'm in normal mode this doesn't happen. It's also very slow. Sorry if I left anything out it's been a while since I've used it.

No visible viruses come up except for the fact that MBAM still doesn't work even after I reinstalled it and renamed the shortcut. Infact, every time I click a program I get BSOD and it restarts.

(Also, I used to be known here as PARTYINMYSHOWER but my account had issues that I didn't know how to solve so I just made a new one. DragonMasterJay used to help me out a couple times last year and I thank him greatly for that. )

We are going to be using a Windows Recovery Environment to help disinfect the system so it may boot again.

Download the OTLPE Network REATOGO Windows Recovery Environment.
  • Place a blank CD-R disc in to your CD burning drive.
  • Download OTLPENet.exe and double-click on it to burn to a CD using ISO Burner.
  • Reboot your system using the boot CD you just created.

Note : If you do not know how to set your computer to boot from CD follow the steps here
  • Your system should now display a REATOGO-X-PE desktop.
  • Double-click on the OTLPE icon.
  • When asked "Do you wish to load the remote registry", select Yes
  • When asked "Do you wish to load remote user profile(s) for scanning", select Yes
  • Ensure the box "Automatically Load All Remaining Users" is checked and press OK
  • OTL should now start. Change the following settings
    • Change Drivers to Non-Microsoft
    • Press Run Scan to start the scan.
    • When finished, the file will be saved in drive C:\_OTL\MovedFiles
    • Copy this file to your USB drive if you do not have internet connection on this system
    • Please post the contents of the OTL.txt file in your reply.

Getting ready to do this. Downloading the file now. Not sure how long this will take. From a few hours to a few days. I think my infected computer is the only one in the house that has a writable drive.

I got the REALTOGO desktop loaded. But all I saw were Recycle Bin, My Computer, and Network Properties. I didn't see the icon you mentioned. Also, It still shuts off after about 5 to 15 minutes of being on the REALTOGO desktop. I hope I can do what I'm supposed to do in that time.

Maybe I didn't see the desktop because it was the way I loaded it? I pressed F12 and selected CD/DVD option of booting. I didn't use the web page you gave me. I have a toshiba Sattelite.

When it turns off during safe mode with networking I hear a beep. When it turned off when I was in the REALTOGO Desktop there wasn't a beep.

Just one beep? Or multiple beeps? Was there a pattern in beeps?

Usually when I use the computer during Networking Safe Mode there is just one beep, which occurs during the sudden shut off it always does after about 15 minutes. When my computer shut off after I loaded REALTOGO, there was a beep the first time, and a shut off with no beep the second time.
