My PC got infected with this $#@% virus yesterday. When the "utility" to remove the virus popped on the screen, I entered my credit card info against my better judgment. After entering the cc details, a message appeared that my card was invalid. So, I now assume that that message was BS and it got my cc info?

Tonight I found your site and followed the instructions to download and run Malwarebyte. I did and it found and removed 9 trojan horses, etc. I just ran OTL also, but not sure what to be looking for.

My question: Did System Tool capture my cc info? I'm ready to have the cards reissued but that creates different problems with all my online accounts.

Hello.

It is recommended to call your bank, and tell them to issue a chargeback. Be sure to note that the program you paid for was a scam, and did not do as specified on their website.

Other than that, it would be advisable to tell them you may be a victim of identity theft, so they can know what to look for on your account(s).
