Hi, i have an Acer Aspire 5517 Laptop running Windows 7. Recently i've had a lot of trouble with AVG, instead of giving my the newest version when it came out, it uninstalled itself and now i'm sure i'm literally riddled with viruses and trojans because when i download a new anti virus (of any kind) my computer goes to that blue screen and i have to do a system restore. I've had it at this point because now i'm dealing with that System Tools 2011 crap. i've moved my pictures to a flash drive and want to completely start over, but how would i do that? other than paying someone to do it of course!
any help at all would be appreciated and i'll follow the steps as i get them!

I have a friend giving me Windows 7 and i'n going to try getting all my drivers from the acer site or at least find out everything i need. Not too fast at responding are u guys?
anyways, nevermind this, i figured it out. Although this site did help with my System Tools 2011 Trojan I more than likely will never visit this site again. thanks anyway.

I suggest you to copy all your important files to external drive or flash usb, and reinstalling windows should fix all your problems. Also, never use strange antivirus softwares from internet, you should always Google a bit more about best solution for protecting your computer. Avira, Kaspersky, AVG, Norton, ESET NOD32 etc..
