Hi, it's been quite a while since i've needed to post here. My daughters comp started making a shrill beeping noise one night so she turned it off,the next day when she went to turn it back on it wouldn't boot up. The fans come on and the monitor. There is no 'beep' and the monitor says there is no input device attached to it and goes into sleep mode. I tried getting into the BIOS but was unable to even look at it because of the monitor shutting off. The comp was bought new and only used for 4 months at most. Any suggestions as to what might be wrong with it will be much appreciated.

Was it a pattern of beeps or steady beep?

she doesn't honestly remember, she said she thinks it was a long steady beep, it woke her up in the middle of the night and she just turned it off, and it hasn't started back up since. She doesn't remember it being a series of beeps or pattern per say

I would say the video card is not working anymore. Please let me know of the specs of the system, especially the computer's make/model.

NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE Intergrated
750 GB HDD
4GB DDR2 memory

Remove all power to the computer, reseat all cards and expansions, remove and re-attach all cables and attachments, and clean the system of debris or dust. Then, let me know if it will let you boot, also if the sound continues.
