FFmpeg has made multiple recent reports of vulnerabilities in its code.
It has made the following advisories: http://ffmpeg.org/#pr7dot7and8dot6
Code vulnerabilities include the ability of an attacker to perform Denial-of-Service attacks on the remote victim machine.
Specially crafted malicious media files can be downloaded, and unforeseen code exploitation can occur, which has the ability to take control of the victim machine.
