Releasing Firefox 8 yesterday, Mozilla patched eight vulnerabilities and added the Twitter search plugin.
The new Twitter search plugin allows users to search for Twitter updates, hashtags, and Twitter users.
With the new update, all add-ons that have been installed without user approval in the past will be disabled. The user must enable the add-ons for them to function correctly. That does not mean user-installed add-ons are disabled, however.
Patching five critical bugs and three high rated bugs, Mozilla expects the stability to continue to improve for Firefox.
As a side note, Firefox 3.6.24 was released, patching three flaws.
As always, the latest version of Firefox may be obtained by visiting http://mozilla.com
