CarrierIQ, a company/product specializing in end-user tracking for mobile phone companies, has been suspected of extreme privacy violations.

Upon tracking text messaging, phone calls, data calls, etc., all of this data is sent to CarrierIQ's servers where it is stored. Also, is provided to the mobile phone companies depending on how much data is necessarily needed by the company.

What about all the other data? CarrierIQ has it!! Apparently, from what the company has said, this data is encrypted and anonymous, and no one is personally identified.

Some of the revealing is in this video by 25 year old Android developer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T17XQI_AYNo&feature=player_embedded
