How to test beta products safely using Sandboxie
Guide Overview
The purpose of this guide is to teach you how to test beta products safely using Sandboxie, a sandbox application to prevent applications from making permanent changes to other programs and data in your computer.
Tools Needed
- Sandboxie
Instructions
- Download and install Sandboxie using the download link above in the tools section.
- In the start menu is different links in the Sandboxie folder. Please click the link associated with the type of product that your are beta testing. For example, if you are testing an antivirus or video player beta product -- click Run any program sandboxed. If you are testing an Internet browser beta product -- click Run Web browser sandboxed.
- When you run any program sandboxed, right click on the SandBox DefaultBox item in the main window of the program and click Run Sandboxed>Run from start menu.
- Browse through the list to find the beta program to test, and click it. You are now ready to test the chosen beta program.
