HMOS Recommendation: Use tool freely!

Window Malicious Software Removal Tool Homepage and Download Link

The Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool is...
A free tool now provided through Microsoft Windows Update, usually second Tuesday of every month. It is also provided on the Microsoft Download site at Microsoft.com. The tool scans for prevalent, dangerous malware. Malware that it scans for includes: worms, viruses, spyware, adware, and trojans. Keep in mind that this is not a replacement for anti-virus software, or any other security software. It is not recommended, but optional, to use it often. Microsoft Update subscribers, which are those who have enabled automatic updates, are those that receive this update. This update is to make sure that computers that are running genuine Windows are safe, because not all computers (unfortunately) are running up-to-date security software.

Steps to use this tool if downloaded from Microsoft.com
By using the download link above, please download the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.

Run the tool by clicking Next.

Choose quick scan.

The tool will scan, then finish with the results.
